Das Kompetenzzentrum "Automotive Elektronik- und Informationssysteme" ist ein Zusammenschluss von neun Professuren der Fakultät für Ingenieurwissenschaften und Informatik der Universität Ulm mit dem Ziel, die Automotive-Aktivitäten der Fakultät zu bündeln. Aufgabe des Zentrums ist es, eine organisatorische Plattform für Entwicklungen und Forschungsarbeiten auf dem Gebiet der Automobilelektronik sowie der Datenverarbeitung für Fahrzeuganwendungen zu schaffen, insbesondere solche, die einen engen Bezug zu einem industriellen Anwendungsfeld besitzen.
